A free truck weight workshop is scheduled for the Chippewa County Sheriff's Office, 629 N 11th St., Montevideo, MN 56265, on September 26, 2022.
This workshop explains in easy to understand terms how to comply with Minnesota’s truck weight regulations at various times of the year. This class will take the guess-work out of knowing what your truck can legally haul. It will also guide you through proper truck configurations to allow the most legal weight possible. It will explain the impact of the truck’s weight based on proper axle locations, tire sizes and overall dimensions. This is not a “permitting” class, but one to help truckers and companies understand and comply with an area of the law where there are many misunderstandings. There is no cost for the class which runs from 8:30 to 3 PM. Handouts and easy to understand take home materials will be provided. Registration starts at 8:30, class starts at 9:00 AM.
This is a highly acclaimed class by the trucking industry, manufacturers, road authorities and enforcement. For more information visit http://www.mnltap.umn.edu/training/truckweight/ .
